MUE is committed to the successful execution of program design concepts and the optimization of building systems. Using sophisticated analytical techniques and BIM (Building Information Models) as our standard, MUE can provide advanced design solutions for all types of structures. We offer a full range of structural engineering services to help your vision become a reality.
STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS
AND DESIGN
As structural engineers our goal is to be the recognized industry leader. Our engineers are up to date on the latest analysis techniques and software and the current local regulations, building codes and industry standards. The MUE team realizes that every project is unique and requires an exclusive solution and structural system that fits the size, scope, building use and condition of the project site. We have extensive experience in a wide variety of building structures both new and existing. Our collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and specialized expertise yield projects that are creative yet affordable, and sustainable yet practical.
ASSESSMENT OF
EXISTING STRUCTURE
MUE has comprehensive structural analysis and design experience handling a variety of buildings and structures. Our engineers are well seasoned in almost any type of structure, ranging from single family homes, high rise buildings, warehouses, schools, fire stations, hurricane shelters, libraries, police stations, hospitals, medical office buildings, sea walls, canopies, and much, much more. Our cutting-edge design techniques combined with our experience help us get to the center of the problem quickly and to accurately provide solutions to where and why problems arose.
Structural Assessments:
Sea Walls | Roofs |
Historic Structures | Metal Buildings |
Post-Tension Slabs | Concrete Structures |

SPECIALTY ENGINEERING
New challenges and industry advancement are something we, here at MUE, gravitate towards not shy away from. Thus, we seek out opportunities that extend our capabilities and distinguish us from our peers. Designing specialty structures such as supports for cruise ship antennas, climbing towers, the structural framing and supports of interior or exterior artwork, tower crane components or modifications, life safety fall arrest support systems and boat lift supports, to name only a few, pushes us to think outside of the box and continue to grow as a company. Our designs utilize a wide variety of materials to find a lasting solution for any type of environment. Let our talented and experienced team provide you with professional and appropriate engineering for your unique and special structure or components.
THI/SI INSPECTIONS
Threshold Building and Special Inspections are visual structural inspections during the construction phase of either new or existing structures. Inspection of structurally load bearing components and their connections is standard. After each inspection, a report summary is written describing the observed components and sent to the respective building departments.
FORENSIC ENGINEERING
We not only provide our clients a cause of the failures, but also an understanding of the reasons for the failures and recommendations on how to restore the structure to ensure it will be structurally sound for years to come.
Structures with forensic engineering challenges require tailored solutions to help clients maximize their investments. Structures can have a wide variety of deterioration mechanisms. Some of them can greatly impact the structure and the safety of its occupants. Our solutions are not only focused on addressing any current defect, but also to effectively enhance the useful life of the structure and its components. Determining causes of distress, analyzing load carrying capacities, solving vibration problems, and addressing serviceability challenges are only a few examples of existing building challenges that we have addressed.
PEER REVIEWS
AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES
MUE provides independent and impartial review of engineering and construction documents on a wide variety of structural designs. We review documents involving structural engineering design and wind load calculations. We address questions and concerns from building authorities, we adhere to the applicable building codes, and industry standards and resolve conflicts or disputes between specifications, drawings and design disciplines. The peer review process can result in a greater confidence in the design, detect design error or conflicts, resulting in long-term benefits to the client and owner.
